OUTDOOR laser tag battles in a spooky forest are being offered by a Hanbury business as a safe social-distanced alternative to trick or treating this Halloween.

Shooting 4 Fun owner will transform the woodland gaming area at Oaklands Outdoor Pursuits into the eerie backdrop for the 90-minute battles.

They will include a graveyard scene at the entrance, illuminated trees and strategically placed ghoulish props.

Players are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes with witches, skeletons, devils, werewolves and zombies all welcome.

The forest will be divided into four distinct game zones marked by pathways lit by lanterns.

Pathways cannot be crossed and each play zone will be occupied by a maximum of six players.

The sophisticated laser tag guns have an extremely long range, able to ‘tag’ a player at 100metres away so close contact is not required.

Staff, dressed as Star Wars Storm Troopers, will monitor play and ensure battles take place safely and in

Owner Mark Treverton said: “We realised a few months ago that die-hard Halloween celebrants probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy their usual trick or treating

this year.

“Our woodland setting provides a perfect environment for outdoor fun with plenty of space to allow for social distancing.”

The games are suitable for children aged six, through to adults.

Family sessions are available on the evenings of October 28, 30 and 31 where there is also an adult only event at 8pm as well as the family session.
