SIX EMPLOYEES from Barrie Beard will celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary by taking on a daring parachute jump for the Primrose Hospice next Saturday, September 22.

The ‘Super Six’, made up of Sarah Harrod, Jimmy Tonks, Nick Godfrey, Thomas Gwinnett, Matt Tongue and Mark Smith, are aiming to raise £2,500 for the charity by underaking the 10,000ft leap which will see them reach speeds of up to 120mph.

They have collected £892 so far and are hoping Standard readers will boost their coffers further.

People can visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/barriebeard-parachuteforprimrose to donate to the cause.

Warren Beard, Barrie Beard’s managing director, said “We are incredibly proud of all six and we will support them all the way down from 10,000ft to landing back safely at the airfield.

“Good luck Team BB.”

The charity’s fund-raiser Anna Wilson added: “Everyone at Primrose Hospice is incredibly appreciative to have a great local company such as Barrie Beard Ltd supporting Primrose and would like to say a huge thank you to the whole team.”

The charity is always looking at ways it can team up with local businesses to support the hospice’s work.

Any businesses wishing to team up with the Primrose can call Anna on 01527 889796, email
