Share your opinion on two new A38 Bromsgrove improvement schemes

RESIDENTS are urged to comment on two new proposals which look to boost cycling and walking along the A38 Bromsgrove.

The first scheme would see the creation of a new segregated walking and cycling route alongside a section of the A38.

It would also include the removal of the left turn bypass lane at the Slideslow Drive roundabout, allowing a new toucan crossing on Slideslow Drive to be created.

The other proposal would see works taking place on Regents Park Road, between the roundabout of the A38/A448 and Royal Worcester Crescent.

The works would include the addition of a shared foot/cycleway, which will link into current facilities within the Oakalls Estate.

Count Councillor Ken Pollock, cabinet member with responsibility for economy and infrastructure, said: “We’re continually looking at ways to improve the cycling and walking network, not only in Bromsgrove, but across the county.

“We’ve heard what people had to say at the engagement events last year and these two schemes have been developed in response to that feedback.

“We’d now like to gather your thoughts on these two new schemes, so please get in touch and give us your feedback on them.”

Feedback should be sent to [email protected] before the March 19 deadline.
