TRAFFIC problems on the M5 look set to continue into this evening’s rush hour and beyond it following the earlier crash at Junction 5 (Droitwich).

All four lanes were shut but now just the fourth lane is closed.

Normal traffic flow is expected to return around 6.30pm.

The incident happened at 9.20am this morning and led to a fire on the carriageway.

Two fire crews – one from Worcester and one from Droitwich – extinguished the blaze.

A man in his 40s was already out of the vehicle and, after being assessed by ambulance staff, was discharged at the scene.
