A SECURITY company has donated £250 to Age UK’s Bromsgrove Men in Sheds after learning the charity was still paying rent despite its premises being closed due to Covid-19.

Staff at TGF Security made the kind-hearted donation to help members, who usually meet at the ‘Shed’ on Hanbury Road, Stoke Prior with their running costs.

A spokesperson for the Birmingham security company said: “We strongly believe in helping the local community.

“We wanted to make this donation to Bromsgrove Men in Sheds while the Shed is closed to help ensure that it can continue.”

Members, known as ‘shedders’, have continued to hold virtual meetings despite government guidelines relaxing.

They are currently looking at ways to reconfigure the Shed to ensure members can visit safely.

Age UK’s Jo Hughes said: “Once we have done this, and are in a position to re-open, we look forward to inviting the TGF Team over so that they can see for themselves the difference their support has made.”
