Rubery PDSA launches urgent appeal for donations after burglary

Bromsgrove Editorial 14th Jul, 2018   0

A BURGLARY at a PDSA charity shop in Rubery has triggered an urgent appeal for any donations to help the shop regain its stock, writes Sophie Hind.

The burglary was discovered on July 2 when shop worker Linda Clifton came into work to find the back doors of the shop forced open and various items missing.

Among them weer a cabinet full of jewelry and men’s clothes.

Linda said: “We were not closed for long, however we missed a lot of trade and are in desperate need of stock such as men’s clothing.”

Any donations that can be made to the charity shop would help.

The PDSA shop’s assistant manager Sydonie Wilson said: “We’re asking people to channel their inner pet superhero.

“Whoever you are, you have the power to save pets’ lives simply by donating your unwanted items.”

To donate to the shop, simply drop them off at 151 New Road Rubery or call 0121 453 8200 to arrange a collection.
