Rubery and Bromsgrove bracing itself for wintry weather over the weekend

TEMPERATURES are set to drop over the next 24 hours in Bromsgrove, Rubery and South Birmingham.

And, whilst there are no weather warnings in place from the Met Office for the West Midlands, it could drop as low as -1°C and people are being warned to take care on the roads tomorrow as there is a risk of sleet in the early morning.

A morning frost is also expected tomorrow.

West Mercia Police have also been warning drivers to ensure they do not leave their vehicles unattended whilst ‘defrosting’ them as they will risk their cars and vans being stolen.

Thieves are known to have be in areas, looking for a vulnerable target.

If vehicles are stolen with the keys in them, insurance companies will not pay out.
