Royal Mail reminding Bromsgrove and Rubery families not to miss the last date to send their letters to Father Christmas

Bromsgrove Editorial 28th Nov, 2018

PARENTS and children across Bromsgrove and Rubery are being reminded that the deadline for letters to Father Christmas is fast approaching, writes Demi Andrews.

All of the letters must be in Santa’s postbag by next Friday, December 7.

For 55 years, Royal Mail has had the special privilege of managing Santa’s mailbag and ensuring children’s letters get to the North Pole.

Royal Mail also help the man in the big red suit with the replies to the children and will be able to reveal the most definitive guide to what children actually want for Christmas, with a top ten list of the most wished for toys.

Last year, Royal Mail helped deliver over hundreds of thousands of letters to Santa and found that along with toys, children also ask for a range of funny and heart-warming requests.

Axelle Galera, Royal Mail Chief Elf, who ensures children’s letters reach Reindeerland at the North Pole, said: “We are proud that for over 50 years, Santa has allowed us to help manage the hundreds of thousands of special letters he receives from boys and girls across the country.”

Royal Mail asks children to please write to Santa no later than December 7 and not to forget to include their full name and address.

The envelope must be stamped with the correct address on the front. The address is: Santa/Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ.
