YOUNG performers from Rowney Green put on a concert, raising £600.84 for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Music teacher Kim Free said they all worked hard practising and getting sponsors for the whole term before putting on a great performance as part of the cause’s Practice-a-thon fundraising campaign.
Schools and youth clubs and groups across the UK are encouraged to hold their own sponsored music, dance or singing event and raise money for young cancer patients, and their families. Participants can also keep 25 per cent of the funds raised.
