THE ROTARY Club of North Worcestershire offered a helping hand to national charity Remap which helps disabled people achieve independence and a better quality of life.
The organisation uses local groups of skilled and motivated volunteers to design and manufacture equipment tailored to the disabled people’s needs.
Some items enable them to carry out essential daily tasks without them having to ask for help, whilst others aid them in taking part in leisure activities or sports that would otherwise be impossible for them to do.
Remap needed a complete redesign and purchasing support for its brochure and the Rotary Club stepped in.
Using the expertise of one of the Rotarians, the group helped with the redesign and the club funded 200 new brochures.
The booklets will be distributed and placed at locations such as doctor’s surgeries, health clinics and other venues where individuals needing help will be able to view them.
