TENACIOUS Romsley Beaver Sol Davis rose to a challenge set by Chief Scout Bear Grylls and then reached new heights to raise £250 for the NHS Superheroes.
Bear tasked scouts up and down the country to ‘hike to the moon’ by each completing a mile each as part of the BBC’s Big Night In organised by Children In Need and Comic Relief.
But, after accomplishing his mile, the seven-year-old decided to set himself a further fund-raiser.
He managed 100 high jumps in under four minutes to raise the cash for the charity which supports staff at University Hospitals Birmingham.
His mum Melanie Davis said: “We’re really proud of Sol – it was all his own idea after being inspired by the Beavers’ fund-raising and Captain Tom Moore.”
