RESIDENTS at a care home in Bromsgrove put pencils to paper for The Big Draw Festival 2020.
Chandler Court celebrated all things nature by creating ocean artwork on this year’s theme – ‘a Climate of Change’.
The final piece featured lots of different elements and materials to denounce the impact of plastics on marine life.
Launched in 2000 as part of the Campaign for Drawing, the month-long Big Draw Festival promotes drawing as a tool for learning, expression and invention.
A Climate of Change theme focuses on the relationship between people and their environment and offers a great opportunity for older people to reminisce about their favourite nature spots.
Dawn Covill, home manager at Chandler Court, said: “We had a great time taking part in The Big Draw again this year.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to put our creativity to the test. The arts play a huge role in life here at Chandler Court.
“As well as being a great way to develop our creative skills, they can improve wellbeing and provide older people with a sense of purpose.”
The artwork will be shared on social media soon.
