RESIDENTS and staff at a Bromsgrove care home enjoyed a visit from some four-legged friends last week to celebrate Guide Dogs Week.

Labradors Bubbles, Harrison and Pebbles and their trainers from the Blind Association for Redditch and Bromsgrove went along to Breme Care Home.

Flo Morris, 94, said: “Oh it was lovely that they came to visit. I wish we could keep one.”

Margaret Bending, who took a shine to Pebbles, added: “It was so special to see the dogs because I’ve always had animals around me.”

The visit was also a celebration of the continued relationship between the charity and the home.

Residents and the team often rally together to raise money for the Guide Dogs charity throughout the year.

The home’s activities leader Helen Barron said: “It was genuinely a joy to see the resident’s faces light up.

“And the the dogs were fantastic and enjoyed a good fuss.”
