Remembrance weekend to be held at Bromsgrove's St Godwald's Church

A REMEMBRANCE weekend to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War will take place at St Godwald’s Church.

At 7.30pm on Friday, November 9, there will be the ‘100 years quiz (1918-2018)’. Teams will be between four and six people and tickets, which include a fish and chip supper, are £8 per person.

A ‘Centenary Afternoon Tea Party’ with entertainment, an art display music and cakes, will take place from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, November 10.

Then on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, November 11, there will be a service will be held at the church to remember those people who died during the war.




There will also be a collection of ‘there but not there’ silhouettes in the church to remind people of the fallen soldiers who did not make it back home.
