A SCOUT LEADER from Rednal has received the highest-award possible for an adult leader after giving 53 years of service, writes Neil Gordon.
Jacky Porter was awarded the Silver Wolf by chief scout Bear Grylls in this years St Georges Day awards for services to scouting of the most exceptional nature after being a leader for all of her adult life.
Jacky, a leader with Pheonix Scouts, who meet at St Stephens Church, Rednal, was presented with the award by Andrew Lloyd, Birmingham county scout commissioner, at a ceremony held at the Masonic lodge, Northfield.
