Rednal mum launches fundraising page after sudden death of baby son

A REDNAL mum has launched a fundraising page to help cover the funeral costs of her baby son.

Katherine Ebanks created a GoFundMe page for her son Rupert last week.

She said: “My boy turned six months old recently but unfortunately he never made it to that age.

“He went for a nap and just didn’t wake up.

“I am devastated…he was our rainbow after my miscarriage.

“I’m empty, I’m numb and I’d give anything to spend more time with him.

“My other children miss him dearly.”

Rupert is currently with a coroner who will determine his cause of death before releasing him back to Katherine and his dad.

Katherine added that she wants to give her ‘Rupert bear’ the best possible send off and has thanked everyone who has donated to her fundraiser so far.

“I am dreading funeral expenses and other costs as I’m not working at the moment.

“I’m so grateful for any donations made, it means the absolute world to me and my family.”

You can help Katherine and her family reach their £1,200 goal by donating HERE.
