Redditch retro record shop to celebrate third anniversary with fund-raiser for Primrose Hospice tomorrow

A RETRO Record Shop in Redditch is celebrating its third anniversary trading in Headless Cross with a charity fund-raiser for the Primrose Hospice.

Tomorrow will mark three years since Ros Sidaway launched retro vinyl record shop, Vintage Trax, on Birchfield Road.

It came after two successful trials in the Kingfisher Centre and since then there has been a huge growth in demand for classic and rare albums and 45s around the UK and overseas.

Ros said she could hardly believe it had been three years.

“It’s been hard work to build the business but, as my family and friends know, I love music and really enjoy what I’m doing and it’s a great feeling to be helping people build their record collections and track down the albums they are looking for.”

Ros will be hosting a day of music, special offers, giveaways and of course, a wide range of quality pre-loved vinyl records, cassettes and CDs.

“I wanted to do something to benefit a local charity as well as celebrating three years of trading in Headless Cross so I chose the Primrose Hospice, which does wonderful work supporting patients and their families living with a life limiting illness across North East Worcestershire,” she said.

The celebrations run from 11am to 4pm and there will be refreshments and cake for a small donation.
