TWO HERITAGE diesel locomotives are set to haul a railtour through the area today (Sunday), writes Neil Gordon.
The former British Rail class 50 engines will be double-heading the ‘Dub and Grub’ charity railtour on behalf of GB Railfreight.
The tour leaves Birmingham International around midday and heads via Kidderminster and Hereford for the Severn rail tunnel. It then continues through Bristol, Cheltenham, Bromsgrove and the Lickey Incline, before heading back to Birmingham International via New Street station.
The tour is booked to pass non-stop through Droitwich at 1.23pm and Bromsgrove at 4.55pm.
