THIS YEAR marks the 60th anniversary of the Mini and former owners and Austin employees are being urged to submit their memories of the iconic cars for this year’s Pride of Longbridge Rally.

The organisers want to compile stories, videos and photographs relating to people driving Minis, building them or working on them.

The stories will also be used during Pride of Longbridge heritage days and events.

This year’s Pride of Longbridge Rally takes place at from 10am to 4pm at Cofton Park next Saturday, April 13.

Hundreds of cars and thousands of people will descend on the park from all over the world for the free community event.

Memories of the Mini should be emailed to [email protected] ahead of the event, with ‘MM’ in the subject bar.

There will also be an ex-employees tent, an Austin ex-apprentices tent and other milestones will be celebrated, including 25 years of the R8.
