THE BROMSGROVE branch of the Midlands Ancestors will be holding a presentation on ‘Wills and Family History’ tomorrow (Tuesday, November 13), writes Demi Andrews.
Member Mike Sharpe will explore the value of wills in family history, explain the probate process and look at how to find the documents both online and offline during the event at 7.45pm at Bromsgrove Methodist Centre, Stratford Road.
Wills became increasingly common from the mid-19th century and can provide vital information about where our ancestors lived, their relationships, how wealthy they were, whether they owned property and details of their business activities and personal possessions.
