Popular Bromsgrove bar put up for sale for £1.5million

A POPULAR Bromsgrove wine bar has been put up for sale for £1.5million – just two years after it first opened.

Independent restaurant St John’s Wine Rooms, which boasts a net profit of approximately £200,000 per year, is currently listed on Sidney Phillips’ website.

The St John’s Street venue is described by the chartered surveyors as being adjoined to an historic Georgian House which is currently ‘unused to its full potential’.

And the site offers potential buyers a ‘huge scope for further development’.

It’s also listed as having excellent outside space, including a roof terrace and trade gardens which can cater for more than 100 customers.

In 2017 a charity partnership between the Wine Rooms and the Friends of St John’s was launched.

The charity supports both the ongoing maintenance of St John’s Church and the Bromsgrove community.

The Standard contacted Wine Bar owner David McNally, but he said he did not want to comment at this time.
