DRIVERS in Bromsgrove are being warned to be on their guard after a spate of thefts from vehicles in the district.

At 3.28am yesterday morning, cash was stolen when a white man, 6ft tall, of slim build, wearing light clothing, a bomber jacket and dark shoes broke into a vehicle on Newton Road.

Between 5pm on Tuesday and 8am yesterday three vehicles were broken into.

After gaining access to two of the vehicles in Coniston Close and Maiden Way, the thieves left empty handed.

But from the third, a locking wheel nut, masonry drill and proctor metre were stolen.

Police have urged any residents living in Coniston Close or Maiden Way who have CCTV to check footage during the times the incidents took place to see if they have any suspicious activity captured.

The police are also warning residents to ensure all vehicles are locked and, where applicable, alarms are turned on and all valuables are removed from cars and vans.

Anyone with any information or footage should email it to [email protected]
