Police issue burglary warning about leaving presents and cash on show in run up to Christmas

A WARNING has been issued to people not to leave expensive gifts and cash under the tree in the run up to Christmas in a bid to deter opportunist thieves from breaking in.

Police in Hagley and Rubery say whilst there is no specific intelligence to suggest burglaries will increase in the coming weeks, raiders in previous years have gained access to homes to steal presents left on show.
