MASS brawls and anti-social behaviour broke out in Worcester Road, Bromsgrove, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident happened at 4am outside on Worcester Road.

One witness told The Standard: “There were about 100 people in the street outside Kumu (formerly B61) nightclub.

“Bottles and glasses were being thrown and there were fights breaking out all over the place.

“We saw one man being stamped on – it was absolutely horrific.”

The police attended the scene, along with two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT doctor.

The ambulance crews had to be escorted by a police dog and his handler to get through the melee to get to two people who had been injured in the fighting.

After being treated at the scene they were both taken to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital.

Both have since been discharged.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said they were called at 4.19am.

She added investigations were ongoing and no arrests had yet been made.

She appealed for any witnesses or any information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
