A MAN in his 40s was verbally racially abused and assaulted inside the toilets of a pub in Bromsgrove Road, Hagley.

It happened between 8.30pm and 11pm on July 28. Fortunately the victim was not injured.

The attackers were four or five white men, all aged between 20 and 24 years old.

One was 5ft 10ins and of average build, one was wearing a t-shirt and one was wearing blue jeans and a green or grey t-shirt. It is thought he was later picked up in a white VW Beetle.

Investigating officer PC Chris Royle appealed for information on the incident and said he was concerned about the racial motivation of the incident.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
