BROMSGROVE Police have made a plea to drivers to park sensibly after this incident in where two cars were parked in a way which obstructed pedestrians from getting past safely.

It happened in School Drive at 1.30pm yesterday, near the Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre and North Bromsgrove High School.

Warning notices were issued to the motorists because of the obstruction caused by their cars.

A Standard reader had also got in touch with us about the situation.

They sent in this picture.

He said: “The two cars were completely blocking the footpath.

“Anyone using the footpath had to walk into the road to get around them.”

The VW Golf was parked there for at least an hour and the Mercedes for less time.

“This is not an unusual event.

“I appreciate that the Parking Wardens do their best and have seen vehicles ticketed on the past.

“But this happens very frequently to the great inconvenience of the infirm, wheelchair and mobility scooter users and those with pushchairs.”
