Place in the London Marathon up for grabs at Primrose Hospice’s annual ball

A PLACE in the London Marathon will be up for grabs in the silent auction at Primrose Hospice’s third annual ball.

The prize is just one of several ‘money can’t buy’ items which will be offered during Primrose’s ball on Friday, September 27.

This year, the venue is the stunning Chateau Impney with guests invited to enjoy the theme ‘a night under the stars’.

Hayley Young, from Matchborough in Redditch was one of the hospice’s London Marathon runners this year and said: “This is a fantastic chance to win a once in a lifetime experience!

“From beginning to end the crowds’ support is amazing, making you feel like a rock star and you will have achieved something only one per cent of the population can claim to have done.

“The London Marathon is one of the highlights of my life so far and I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

There is no expectation on the auction winner to further fundraise for Primrose Hospice – though every penny does help!

Tickets are already selling fast for this year’s ball priced at £65 per person or £650 for a table of ten.

There will be top entertainment, a three course meal as well as a chance to support the local hospice.

We chatted to Amy Flemming from the Primrose Hospice about the ball in this week’s Bromsgrove and Droitwich Standard Podcast –
