BROMSGROVE’s Alina Homecare held a celebratory tea party on Monday with the Mayor of Worcester Allah Ditta and Mayor’s consort Naseem Akhtar to toast its outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission.

The grade puts it in the top three per cent of providers in the UK.

Alina, on Harris Business Park in Stoke Prior, provides care at home, disability support and complex care to people across the county.

Around 40 people attended the party, including Alina’s clients, their carers, their families and relatives of people helped by the organisation before they passed away.

The company, formerly the Worcestershire Care Group, was taken over by Alina in 2002 and has gone from strength-to-strength with more clients and improved support.

Bromsgrove branch manager Janice Williams said: “Many of our clients are not able to get out of their homes and their paths wouldn’t normally cross so it was nice they got to meet each other.

“It was also good for the carers to meet others in similar situations.

Speeches were made, including relatives who spoke about the difference Alina’s care had made to theirs and their loved ones’ lives.
