OUTGOING Bromsgrove Liberal Democrat chair Janet King has reflected on her time in the role after stepping down after ten years.
Coun King, who serves as a district councillor for the Lickey Hills ward, has been replaced by Joshua Robinson.
She said: “It has been both a pleasure and a challenge to guide our local party during a time of steady growth.
“Today we have the highest membership this century and a young and energetic committee to lead us.
“As chair during four Parliamentary and three EU elections as well as county and district I would like to pay tribute to all our candidates and hardworking members and thank them all for their friendship.”
She reiterated she would continue to serve residents on the district council and remain an active committee member.
Newly appointed chair Josh said he was ‘really grateful’ to the members for electing him and said: “It is a fantastic party which is going from strength to strength.”
At the last local Bromsgrove District Council election, the Lib Dems gained three new councillors.
As well as Janet King there as also Coun Rob Hunter and Coun Siobhan Hughes.
