NATIONAL rehabilitation programme Escape Pain returns to Bromsgrove on June 11 following a successful pilot earlier on in the year, writes Ryan Smith.

The six-week course is designed to teach ways in which long term sufferers of knee or hip osteoarthritis can help relieve themselves of joint pain.

The initial sessions at BMI Parkside Medical Centre in April were hugely successful.

The new course will consist of 12 sessions running from 2.45pm on Tuesday and Thursday each week, starting today, Tuesday, June 11.

Bromsgrove District Council’s physical activity development officer Hayley Gwilliam, said: “This programme has been really popular and we’re really pleased we could put on more sessions to make the classes more accessible to more people.

“The programme arms people with self-management strategies and helps them to live a more active life.”

She urged those interested to book their places quickly.
