New bus service will take Rubery, Longbridge and Northfield residents to the QE

A NEW bus service will take Rubery, Longbridge and Northfield residents to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

From February 15, the 38 and 42 bus service will be combined to create a new 42 service from West Heath to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Des Rogers, manager of Kev’s Cars and Coaches which operates the service, said: “Currently the 42 service operates from West Heath to Hollymoor via Morrisons Rubery, to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital six days per week.

“The new route will service Longbridge, Rubery, Morrisons, Northfield, Bournville, Cotteridge, Selly Oak and the Queen Elizabeth complex including university station, the heritage building, the women’s hospital, A&E and terminates at the hospital’s main entrance.”
