PUPILS at Colmers School in Rednal are celebrating after winning a nationwide online mathematics contest.
The students fought off competition from primary and secondary schools to take the #RockOut2020 times table title.
Colmers had ‘multiple’ successes with the highest average score overall, based on the whole school’s performance.
It also won the individual class award after scoring the top marks in the whole country in that category.
And one student came third in the individuals section after answering around 120 questions in one minute.
Headteacher Emma Leaman said: “Colmers is delighted to have won the national #RockOut2020 competition as part of Maths Week England and we are incredibly proud of our Year 7 champions.
“To have finished first nationally is an amazing achievement that our whole Colmers community can be immensely proud of.”
