THE MEMBERS of Parliament for Bromsgrove and Northfield have been having their say on the situation surrounding the draft Brexit deal.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid called for unity around Theresa May.

He told The Standard: “The Prime Minister is doing an important job in very difficult circumstances.

“It’s crucial we all work together and deliver Brexit so we can take back control of our laws, money and borders.”

Northfield MP Mr Burden was scathing of the predicament the Government finds itself in.

He tweetred: “It is not good enough to be told to back a deal that will leave UK worse off than we are now because Brexit without a deal would be worse still.

“Yes it would be worse but that should not be the limit of our horizon.

“If MPs reject deal other options must be on table – one is a people’s vote.”

It has been a turbulent day for the Prime Minister and her Government.

This morning Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab quit his role, saying there were flaws in the agreement with the EU.

Another Cabinet Minister Esther McVey, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, also quit the cabinet, along with a number of junior ministers.
