A TOTAL of 23 motorists will be receiving fines and points in the post for excessive speeding on the M5 in the region yesterday morning.
They were clocked travelling between 90mph and 102mph by officers from Worcestershire’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU).
In a separate incident on the Bromsgrove Highway a driver was clocked travelling at 102mph.
The officers from OPU tweeted: “Although the traffic is light this is far too fast.
“It’s 70 for a reason.”
The driver has been reported and a court appearance awaits.
Being caught travelling over 100mph can land motorists with an instant driving ban.
