The attack happened at 8.30pm on March 24 when the man, who was in his 20s, was driving along the Kidderminster Road.

Another man pulled up in front of him in his car, near the Berry Lane junction. He then got out and punched the victim several times through the window of his car before taking his keys out of the ignition, throwing them in the bushes.

The attacker, who was a white man, in his mid-30s, of stocky build and wearing a dark jumper, then got back into his car and drove off towards Kidderminster.

“We take reports of this nature very seriously and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to please get in touch.”

He urged any witnesses or anyone who saw the two cars parked up at the time of the attack near the Berry Lane Junction to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
