A MAN was stabbed and shots were fired in Northfield last night.
Officers from West Midlands Police were called to Kinlet Avenue at 6.15pm where a 41-year-old man had been stabbed several times while sat in a black BMW car parked on the road.
He was taken to hospital with several stab wounds to his arms, chest and legs and remains there today in a serious but stable condition.
Soon after the stabbing, shots were fired in the sams road.
Police are trying to trace three people, two who may have left in a silver car.
Fortunately, there were no injuries caused to anyone from the gunshots.
A large cordon remains in place today on Kinlet Avenue and Staple Lodge Road, as enquiries continue.
Sgt Richard Forrester from West Midlands Police’s CID urged anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area last night call police on 101 as soon as possible.
“I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has any dash cam footage which could have captured events either before or after the stabbing.
“CCTV and house-to-house enquiries continue today and we will be doing all we can to find those involved.”
