Man slashed with knife in Bromsgrove street assault

A MAN was slashed with a knife during a vicious attack in Bromsgrove on Tuesday night.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was walking on Burcot Lane at 9pm when a vehicle containing three men pulled up.

They got out and assaulted him and he sustained a cut to his arm which needed hospital treatment.

The trio got back in the car and drove off towards Birmingham.




The victim has now been released from hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Det Con John Coleman said the attack was believed to be an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public as those involved are believed were known to each other.


He added no arrests had yet been made, investigations were ongoing and he urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
