A SOUTH Birmingham man has been jailed for six years and eight months for burglary, car theft and driving offences.
Eamon O’Reilly, 20, of Pershore Road, Stirchley, was handed the sentence at Worcester Crown Court on Friday.
On January 24 O’Reilly burgled a house in Northfield, stealing a handbag containing cash and bank cards.
A week later on January 31, he burgled a house on The Meadway, Redditch and stole the spare keys for a Mercedes C220 and an Audi A4.
He then stole both vehicles from the driveway.
On February 10, O’Reilly broke into a property in Amelas Close, Stourbridge, stealing a Vauxhall Mokka and a Ford Focus, two mobile phones and a wallet containing bank cards and cash. At around 3.30pm on the same day, the Vauxhall Mokka was seen on Silver Street in Kings Heath and O’Reilly was arrested. The Ford Focus was later recovered on February 11.
On February 12 he was arrested for the Redditch, Bromsgrove and Northfield burglaries and vehicle offences.
O’Reilly pleaded guilty to all of the offences, along with two counts of driving whilst disqualified.
As well as the jail term, O’Reilly was also given an extended 40-month driving disqualification and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge.
