A MAN was arrested in Bromsgrove in the early hours of this morning following a burglary.
Officers were called to the address on College Road at 12.51am after reports of a man with a torch.
Neighbours knew the house was unoccupied due to the homeowners being away on holiday so phoned the police.
Officers from West Mercia Police’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU) and a local response team attended and saw the man upstairs inside the property with a torch.
They entered the property through the back door – which the suspect had smashed to gain entry – and they then arrested him.
He was found to have on him a Stanley knife and stolen property.
