Man arrested after taxi driver was attacked and robbed in Frankley

A MAN has been arrested after a taxi driver was attacked and robbed in Frankley in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It happened after the passenger was picked up in Hereford Close.

The taxi driver, a man in his 50s, suffered severe cuts and bruising and was taken to hospital.

Police believe another man was involved in the attack and are trying to trace him.
