Man and teenage boy charged with armed street robberies in Bromsgrove

A MAN and a teenager have been charged over armed street robberies in Bromsgrove.

Umair Mughal who is 18-years-old from Keresley Grove, Weoley Castle, and a 15-year-old, also from Birmingham, have both been charged with attempted robbery, robbery and possession of an imitation firearm. The boy cannot be named for legal reasons.

The charges relate to an incident on July 2 where two children, aged 12 and 14, were threatened and robbed.

The 15-year-old has also been charged with a second count of robbery following an incident near Bromsgrove railway station on July 8.




On that occasion a teenage boy was the victim of a robbery and threatened with a weapon.

Both suspects were arrested on July 9 in Bromsgrove.


They appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Saturday morning and were remanded by the court.
