A DRIVER had a lucky escape in the early hours of this morning when his panel van ended up on its side in Stoke Prior.
It happened on Shaw Lane, at the junction of Hanbury Road, at 4.40am when the motorist reportedly swerved to avoid hitting an animal.
He managed to get himself out of the van which was diagonally positioned across both lanes.
Once treated at the scene he was taken to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital.
Shaw Lane was closed in both directions while the emergency services dealt with the crash.
A fire crew from Bromsgrove attended and made the van safe.
