KIND-HEARTED members of Bromsgrove Youth Council will be holding a Christmas dinner for the town’s older people, writes Demi Andrews.

The group, based at the Bromsgrove Youth Hub in the basement at the town’s Baptist Church, want to give something back to the community so came up with the idea to put on a Christmas lunch.

The Christmas lunch will be held at ‘The Hub’ on December 15 for around 40 older people and the members of the Youth Council will be serving, waiting on tables and cooking. Entertainment will be provided by ‘The Hub Choir’ and Santa will be making a special visit.

Louise Hall, community capacity builder, said: “We didn’t have a budget for the event so I put an appeal out on Spotted Bromsgrove and we were overwhelmed with the response we got.

“So many businesses and organisations have come forward to donate food items and presents.

“We are looking forward to what should be a really nice festive afternoon.”
