A BROMSGROVE girl who lost her long locks for charity has raised more than £400 for the Little Princess Trust and handed over ten inches of hair to be made into wigs for children who have lost theirs through treatments for cancer and other illnesses.
Olivia Cooper, nine, who lives on Breme Park and is due to start at Aston Fields Middle School in September, wanted to undertake the feat to help others.
Her hair was 18ins long but all that changed on Thursday when she went for the chop at Avant Garde in Aston Fields.
Dad Steve thanked The Standard for previewing the cut and added: “Me and her mum Sophie are both very proud of what Olivia has achieved and very thankful of the generous donations and support she’s been given.”
The staff at the Chateau Impney were among those contributing, donating their tips for the week to Olivia’s fund.
