BROMSGROVE residents can take part in a free evening of star-gazing at a special annual event being held in the town.
The Bromsgrove Astronomical Society Open Evening will be held at 7pm on Monday, February 5, at Bromsgrove Rugby Club.
There will be an exhibition of astronomy, hands on demonstrations of light and a short presentation at 7.30pm by chairman Sue Dipple entitled ‘Getting Started in Astronomy’.
Residents of all ages and experience are welcome to go along to the event to find out more about the stars and the science behind them and refreshments will be available.
Anyone who has had a telescope for Christmas or an unused one in the attic is invited to take it along to the telescope workshop and get a start in stargazing.
Society members will be on hand to answer any questions and telescopes will be available, weather permitting, to observe the night sky.
