BROMSGROVE’S Pizza Express is among 73 branches which will be shut as part of a cost-cutting exercise by its owners.
The move means 1,100 jobs will also be lost due to the closures, which also include three in Birmingham – Corporation Street, The Mailbox and Moseley.
China-based Hony Capital says it will look to redeploy staff where possible.
The closures were confirmed after the company voluntary arrangement (CVA) was agreed.
Hony Capital previously said the restructuring would save 9,000 jobs and put the restaurant chain on a firmer financial future.
