A TOWN man who has an inoperable terminal brain tumour married his fiancee in a dream wedding, thanks to the generosity of the Bromsgrove community.

Jamie Snellus was given the devastating news about his illness, leading to individuals, groups and businesses across the district rallying around so they could make as many memories as possible.

More than £5,000 was donated on a GoFundMe page and as word spread many local businesses stepped in to donate their services to make their day as special as it could be,

And last Tuesday Jamie and Maria Hartnett wed in spectacular fashion at Manor Hill among family and friends.

The weather was perfect which meant the service was able to be held outside with the wedding breakfast held in the marquee.

Jamie and the groomsmen wore suits from Moss Bros and Maria wore an Ivory Taffeta dress by Veromia, donated by Tracey Tyler of Occasions by Design.

The venue was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles provided by Bal Kumar from The Raaj.

Peter Lopeman and Bindi Sindhu, from the Royal Bindi photography, took pictures and videos to ensure the whole day was captured for the family to enjoy for years to come.

Ste Crump sang Callum Scott’s You Are the Reason for Maria to walk down the aisle to.

The congregation relaxed in Manor Hill’s beautiful surroundings throughout the day and into the evening when the food was provided by Complete Catering.

Chris Smith, The Best Disco, acted as MC and DJ for the day which was awash with flowers, balloons, a photobooth, a beautiful and very tasty wedding cake, Marvel-themed cupcakes and a fully stocked sweet cart.

Entertainment included a magician and of course Gino Belmonte with his amazing owls, hawks and falcons.

Jamie and Maria’s friends said it was an amazing day the couple would always cherish.

“They are so incredibly grateful to everyone who made this possible,” they added.
