THERE was joy for Bromsgrove’s High Street Market traders who made a welcome return to the town centre today.
This was the first time stalls had been open since the start of the lockdown and the market will now open, initially, from 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Shoppers are urged to respect the 2m distancing guidelines, the tables and stalls are being regularly sanitised and traders will be carrying out Covid-19 risk assessments.
The arrangements will be constantly reviewed.
Bromsgrove District Council Leader Karen May said: “Bromsgrove is historically a market town so I am delighted to see this important part of our heritage return.
