VISITORS to libraries across Worcestershire can ‘step into Christmas’ with a flurry of activities taking place between now and December 25.

A display of favourite festive books at Bromsgrove Library provides ideas for people wondering what to read over Christmas and there is a 12 Days of Christmas trail there.

Visitors to Bromsgrove, Rubery and Catshill libraries can decorate a Christmas stocking.

Hagley Library will host a festive craft session from 11am to 11.45am on Saturday, December 21, where children aged four to eight. It costs £1.50 per child.

Carol Brown, Library Service Manager for Worcestershire County Council said: “It’s great to see our libraries getting into the Christmas spirit and providing lots of different creative activities in the build up to the big day.

“There’s everything from singing, Santa craft, signing and even a visit from one of our regular canine friends.

“We’d like to wish all of our customers across the county a merry Christmas and a happy new year. ”

Worcestershire libraries will close oat 1pm on Christmas Eve, with JobCentre Pluses remaining open until 5pm.

They are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and open normal time on December 27, 28 and 30.
