Gritters heading out as Met Office predicts freezing temperatures across Bromsgrove and Rubery

GRITTING lorries will be out and about across Bromsgrove, Rubery and the rest of Worcestershire this evening with the Met Office predicting the mercury will plummet to 0°C later tonight.

The temperatures are forecast to fall sharply from 4pm, dropping to zero around 10pm.

It will remain at freezing point through the night and will still only be at 1°C for the Tuesday morning rush hour.

Worcestershire County Council’s teams will head out at 6pm to grit the primary routes which includes all the main roads across the county.




Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are urged to take care tomorrow morning as roads and pathways are expected to be slippy and hazardous.
